Scott Dozier Isn’t Afraid Of Being Executed With Fentanyl (HBO)

Scott Dozier is scheduled to become the first death row inmate in the United States to be executed with the synthetic opioid fentanyl on Wednesday, and he’s fine with that.

“I think it’s awesome. I mean, it’s killing people all over the place,” the convicted murderer said of the drug, in an exclusive interview with VICE News from Ely State Prison in Nevada. “You guys get pharmaceutical grade fentanyl and just bang me up man. Use a shit ton.”

  1. Damn even after all he did I don't think this guys a monster. He should spend his life in jail, unstable people shouldn't be in the normal society. But just looking at him while he talks about his kids and grand kids he doesn't want to look into the eyes of the interviewer. He's embarrassed for what he's done. I feel bad for him somehow even though everything tells me I shouldn't.

Please argue your point if you think I'm wrong I'd love to hear everyone else's opinion.

  2. The way how his voice sounds, the way how he speaks and the way how he uses face to speak, this guy would have made a great actor. He chose the wrong path though and is willing to pay the price for it. His choice.

  3. It’s an extremely humane and fool-proof way to carry out a death sentence— arguably “good”; I’m sure it will work better than expected. I’m not sure why this hasn’t already been made the standard.

  4. 3 hours before he was about to be executed, the pharmaceutical company that made the fentanyl the state planned on using, sued them. The whole process was just reset. He's still alive
