We Sent Some Paparazzi To Track Top Trump Officials In D.C. (HBO)

In Los Angeles, celebrities are constantly pursued by camera-wielding photographers snapping photos and yelling questions. Things are a bit more tame in Washington, D.C. when it comes to the political celebrities who regularly walk the streets of the district.

High level Cabinet officials and politicians are mostly left alone when they are out in public. While the corridors of the U.S. Capitol can be a media gauntlet, outside of predetermined media availabilities high-powered officials can usually go about their business without worrying too much.

So VICE News decided to make things slightly more uncomfortable for the people who make some of the country’s most important decisions by taking the LA-based paparazzi and bringing them to Washington. The photographers found out that while you can find these people in D.C., it’s still hard to get them to answer any questions.

  1. This is not right – harassing people in public service. Just remember if the Dems do this to republicans then the harassment can be done against a future dem administration.

  2. These two dudes seem cool. They were asking questions happily, not angrily like most political journalists. What a refreshing observation. Our off center media would spit in our leaders face if they could get away with it.

  3. Politicians have been desperate for cultural control. They want to be idolized like Hollywood celebs. While this is an interesting idea, I don't think it should become the norm.

  4. Wow they're pretty easy to find surprised more folks with a beef are not following these turds around hurling insults. Next time go after Ryan Zinke he is extra Shiite almost as bad as Betsy Devos—she could really use an earful from a scary crowd of Students that she's screwing.

  5. Trump derangement syndrome at its finest….. I'm shocked they didn't set up a GoFundMe and try to get other people to pay them, who also have Trump derangement syndrome
