Joe Rogan Experience #1340 – John Nores

John Nores has served as a game warden with the California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. There he co-developed the Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) and Delta Team, the CDFW’s first comprehensive wilderness spec ops tactical and sniper unit, aimed at combatting the marijuana cartel’s decimation of California’s wildlife resources.

  1. First off I think the Cartels are a fucking Cancer that needs to be Killed on sight not putting them in cages so they can live in up in prison because they've got juice in the joint. They are monsters that kill men, women, and children without hesitation without thought or care the people need to realize we need to have a new law enforcement group ready for war to Kill because people who are in these Cartels are evil people which need to be eradicated. I truly believe we should just Evade Mexico and just take it because there is so much corruption in Mexico they will never EVER defeat the Cartels because they're either afraid of death or on the pay-roll by Cartels as informants Eyes and Ears. People seem like they'll never do what is required to actually stopping monsters like the Cartels. Everyone has ideas and opinions on the matter but no one truly does what needs to be done.

  2. Spotlighting is all but legal in Mississippi, there are counties that you RARELY see cops im talking about I have friends who grow weed on their front porches in open view of usually just the mail person and neighbors. I’ll be driving to buy weed and around evening time you start to see trucks all over the side of the road, they have cages in the backs for dogs, off-road tires, and usually upgraded suspension. I was raised in these areas and taught to spot light but I don’t hunt and I don’t condone that form of hunting. Just saying it’s fucking widespread.

  3. I Live in the Midwest. Marijuana is still illegal here. I’m not going to ever quit smoking weed. If my smoking illegal cartel weed kills a few salmon out in California so be it. Don’t be a narc.

  4. Surprised Joe doesn't understand the concept of fish and release, for fisherman (like myself) don't ALWAYS release, but if I'm Bass fishing, etc of course. even if I don't catch anything, I enjoy it ALMOST as much and would do it all over again. Something about being on the water as the sun rises……..its the same kind of rush and feelings u get when hunting. 🤷‍♂️ plus fly fishing is certainly not about catching the fish it's about the journey and the Beautiful art of that Perfect cast.

  5. Great episode. Thanks for your efforts, John. I'm not confident that we have the issue of illegal and tainted cannabis that destroys the environment solely because it's illegal. That certainly exacerbates the issue, I'm sure. However, if you watch the avocado episode on Rotten (Netflix) as an example, that industry has Mexican cartel involvement, and avocado's are obviously legal.

  6. It's a myth that people poach to feed their families in modern America. They spend more in gas money to go poaching than they would going and buying steak at the local store.
