  1. I love how Gary can't not engage with Jamie. That's a cool dude. As in, he wants to address everyone there, despite the fact that it's just meant to be him and Joe.

  2. I guess JR hasnt seen Jeff Nippard's summary of the research on steroids. People not training, but taking steroids gained more muscle than people training w/o steroids.

  3. I was a bit resistant to listen to this podcast when I first scrolled the comments, but it’s great- they’re very different people and I think that’s what makes it an interesting conversation, loved it.
Ps- Gary is energetic, thinking that is drugs is pretty lame.. many people are like this naturally

  4. Gary is ghoulishly excited about how he makes his 4-year-old son cry at basketball. He is very proud of having caused his small child to have a condition where he cries out of fear of his dad every time he picks up a basketball. Joe explains to him how maybe he could rethink this behavior, that beating down someone who lacks your skill level only discourages that person and gains you nothing, and his response is to get agitated about how much he hates participation trophies. This is one of those interviews where the only thing making it bearable to watch and listen to such a guest is the high degree of grace and realness and chillness Joe demonstrates in hosting the show.
